Scholarships

Our scholarship program has been canceled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Check back next year for updates.

In the 2021-2022 year, we are piloting a scholarship program for female and nonbinary students who wish to attend in-person contests, but cannot afford to. We are sponsoring one trip each (up to $450 value) to the Math Prize for Girls and the February Harvard-MIT Math Tournament for two nonbinary or female students.

The $450 may cover travel costs, food costs, hotel costs, transportation costs, and any other costs related to the trip. We are covering costs for students only, not their parents. If the student requires a chaperone, we will try to arrange a chaperone at no cost to their family. The money will be provided as a reimbursement check after we receive receipts for any costs related to the trip.

This opportunity is only available to students who would otherwise not be able to attend these events. It is not free money for families who would regularly be able to afford this trip.

During the pilot, we are only opening up this opportunity to Virtual Program participants and alumni. We may also open up this opportunity to non-alumni at a later time.
